ACID HOUSE HISTORY - UK

Freedom
to
Party
1990

The Freedom to Party campaign was initiated by a junior MP with high ambitions as a politician. Acid House had already softened from the countless blows from law enforcement agencies, media outlets and government bodies. The Association of Dance Party Promoters was formed to present a legal case for licensing all night events. Two protests were staged in Central London and Manchester. In London the first protest was staged in Trafalgar Square and the second in Hyde Park Corner 1990.
