Wayne Anthony Rebirth  of  a Nation

The History of Dance Party Culture

NFT Number Two

Rebirth of a Nation – Awakening a sleeping giant is no small task. Acid House and MDMA served as the catalyst that transformed the UK in the blink of an eye. Pioneering club-nights soon made way for huge illegal warehouse parties for thousands of people. Mobilised by a secret network of rookie party promoters such as Wayne Anthony and Genesis’88, whom quickly mastered the art of moving thousands of people and vehicles through villages, towns and cities in rapid time. Acid House denotes more than merely a soundtrack to good times. It encompasses the people, companies, parties, locations and DJ’s that reshaped a nation. Everything Wayne Anthony associates with the culture is contained within the Rebirth of a Nation. The artist digs deep to visualise an important portrayal of British history in the late eighties. Over five hundred entries compiled by the former party promoter.

This rare collection symbolises one of the most uplifting periods in British history. Acid House was born in Chicago and raised in Europe. Great Britain and the rest of Europe is transformed overnight. This is the launching point for international rave culture.
